If you are like me, you have an overabundance of mint taking over your garden and sometimes recipes don’t accommodate the excessive growth taking place. Instead of throwing away the mint, repurpose it and create a refreshing mint infused water.
Flavored filtered-water can be a healthy and fun addition to add to your daily intake. Since some folks can’t stand the taste of “plain water” we want to encourage you to find the perfect flavor combo that will keep you coming back to refill your water jug and get your recommended 64 oz every day.

Mint Infused Water #2: Sweet and Refreshing
For this mint infused water, you’ll be integrating the sweetness of honeydew, with the refreshing tastes of cucumber and mint. If you don’t like the taste of honeydew, this recipe can easily be altered by exchanging honeydew with cantaloupe.
What You’ll Need
Ingredients
- Cucumber
- Honeydew
- 10 Mint Leaves
- Water
Supplies
- A knife
- Cutting board
- Large pitcher
- Stirring spoon
- Measuring cup
How To Make It
- First, using your knife and cutting board, slice the cucumber into thin pieces
- Then, cut the honeydew into cube sized pieces
- Take the 10 mint leaves and tear them by hand*
- Use 1/2 cup of honeydew and place in the pitcher.
- Then, put all your sliced cucumber into the pitcher.
- Last, add your mint to the pitcher.
- Fill the pitcher with water
- Next, use your spoon to stir the water, moving the cucumber, honeydew and mint around.
- Place in refrigerator for two to four hours
- Finally, serve over ice and enjoy!
*= tearing the mint leaves by hand prevents browning. Using scissors or a knife will break the cell walls, leading to prematurely browning.
