Protecting your home shouldn’t cost you everything in your savings. It’s important to protect your home, but just as important to protect your wallet! Don’t let the massive security system packages deter you from decking out your home. There are still great cheap home security systems, and we’re here to help you find the best option! Here are the three best companies that offer bundle kits or for buying individual products.

Wyze: Cheap Home Security Systems and Equipment

If you’re looking for cheap equipment, Wyze is your go-to company. They have several options of security, all in prices below $50.

Video Doorbell: $29.99

The video doorbell records in 1080p HD, and shoots in a 3:4 aspect ratio in order for you to get a full body shot of whoever is at your front door. This is a great feature if you want to have packages delivered to your front door, but don’t want to worry about pesky porch pirates stealing your deliveries before you can bring them inside.

There is a motion activated LED light for night time recording, just to let anyone know that it is there if your porch light is off. The video doorbell also has a two-way audio system. This lets you speak to whoever is at your door. If you want a package put behind your rocking chairs on your patio- no issue. You can easily tell the delivery worker where you would like to have your packages stored before you get home. The push notifications allow for easy monitoring.

The video doorbell has free storage for 12 second videos in the cloud that last 14 rolling days. If you want to have continual footage stored at full length, you can pay $1.99/month.

Wyze Cam V3: $19.99

The Wyze Cam V3 is their brand new security surveillance system that comes with a 1080p HD quality camera. This camera has an f/1.6 aperture, meaning that it is optimal for night viewing, capturing two times more than the Wyze Cam V2.

You have two different options for storage with the camera. You can either have a 14-day cloud storage, or full access with recording with a micro SD card (not included in purchase). There is no subscription required for this system.

The camera can be used inside or outside. The camera is fully weather resistant, so it can withstand strong winds and rain.

Wyze Bulbs: $8/one bulb, $30/four bulbs

The Wyze Bulbs are another great security feature. The bulbs can be controlled through a phone application to turn off and turn on. If you aren’t home, but want to give the appearance of being home, just turn on the lightbulbs to detract criminals.

You can also create a schedule with the lightbulbs, so if you’re someone who comes home late, you can program the lights to turn on before you step foot in the door.
